Damauli River Confluence & Vyas Cave Pilgrimage (Day Trip)
Come and watch the meeting of white and green rivers in a nature experience of self discovery.
We will sit some meters above their exact meeting place, under a large tree, and with eyes closed visualize what is seen. The mesmerising moments this vision will produce opens our inner centers (Chakras). Then after a few minutes with eyes open, we will see how the surrounding hills seem to support the sky overhead: we feel ourselves being transported into a mystic nature sanctuary all around.
Next we will descend to the green river bank immediately below, and light a tiny ritual fire within river sounds all around. The sound of this rivers flow is captured in its mystic rhythm that we can hear and feel entering us. This wood-mystic-fire will carry this sound with our offering to the Above. This is in the ancient yoga practice that will follow.
The practices are a call to Shakti that the rivers flow symbolizes in living Himalayan culture. These are the "Rivers that are self revealed" in ancient Himalayan texts of the divine Feminine as a nature-womanhood self-conception. All water is a symbol of a divine manifestation, of which womanhood is the human symbol. Come and get introduced to a development in an evolving self conception as divine Nature.
On the way back we will meditate in a womb of the Divine Earth Mother, where ancient Sages have meditated. We will carry back the nature experience of the meeting of the rivers, and use that as a basis for a meditation in the holy cave. The downward flow of these rivers is a symbol for the descent of Shakti into us, still living here as recorded in primal yoga hymns. The white colored divine River-Mother's "milk" flow and her Sister's dark waters unite in front of the cave in which we will meditate.
After the cave practice we return to Pokhara.
